I was fired (actually laid off) 4 months ago from the "job from hell". It was a very stressful situation there and I prayed that they would fire or lay me off. I got my wish one beautiful Friday morning. They thought they were taking me by suprise but I was ready to go! I knew that it was my last day there so I did not bring my purse in the building and had already cleaned out my desk. I have had a wonderful 4 months and will began a new career next week. Leaving them was the best thing that could have happened, and it happened at the right time (when I was busy organizing a large banquet). Hurray for firings!

Very interesting. I know Harvey Mackay had a book a few years ago dealing with the subject of how getting fired can be an opportunity. I think it was initially called "We Got Fired", (to I suppose benefit from the Trump attention).

I think its called "Fired Up" now.
